GAROWE,(SAHALNEWS)-Puntland lawmakers on Thursday approved a recently named cabinet in an extraordinary session held in the state’s capital of Garowe.

State president Abdiwali Mohamed Ali has called MPs to endorse the cabinet, saying most of the appointed members have fairness and hard working backgrounds.

61 out of the 66 state parliament MPs have voted in favor of the cabinet, validating them to work under the outgoing president.

Regional analysts said that MPs decision will dent parliament’s reputation after endorsing annulled cabinet members. Most of the approved cabinet was picked from negated minsters last month.

The 53 cabinet list was sworn in at the villa Puntland compound in Garowe to serve for the remaining years of the president’s tenure.
